Pool Closing Request 2017

Please fill out the form below to schedule your pool closing appointment. Alternatively you can email us at service@mccarthypools.com or call us on 508-485-1307. Upon receipt of this request, we will schedule your Pool Closing appointment and send you an email to confirm the date. We will make every effort to accommodate your chosen Pool Closing appointment date. However, if we cannot schedule your Pool Closing appointment for the week you have chosen, we will schedule you for the next closest date available and email that information to you. If this alternate date is unacceptable, please contact us as soon as possible and we can try to reschedule.

POOL CLOSING OPTIONS
Please choose one of the following options:

OPTION 1 CLOSING $260

What we do

  • drain water from filter, winterize pump with Pump Protector, add non-toxic antifreeze to pump
  • install Gizzmos in skimmers & plug pool lines
  • remove ladder and handrail
  • add the closing chemicals

There will be an additional charge of $50.00 if any water features such as fountains, waterfalls, deckjets, etc...need to be winterized.

OPTION 2 CLOSING $340

What we do

  • drain water from filter, winterize pump with Pump Protector, add non-toxic antifreeze to pump
  • install Gizzmos in skimmers & plug pool lines
  • remove ladder and handrail
  • install winter cover secured with water tubes
  • add the closing

There will be an additional charge of $50.00 if any water features such as fountains, waterfalls, deckjets, etc...need to be winterized.

OPTION 3 LOOP LOC CLOSING $340

What we do

  • drain water from filter, winterize pump with Pump Protector, add non-toxic antifreeze to pump
  • install Gizzmos in skimmers & plug pool lines
  • remove ladder and handrail
  • install Loop Loc pool cover using existing Loop Loc anchors in decking
  • add the closing chemicals

There will be an additional charge of $50.00 if any water features such as fountains, waterfalls, deckjets, etc...need to be winterized.

Please ensure that your winter cover, water tubes, plugs, gizzmos, and all other pool closing supplies are left a poolside on the day of your pool closing appointment. Any item that is not available or functional at the time of your pool closing will be replaced by McCarthy Pools and will be charged in addition to the Pool Closing charge. If a return visit is required to complete your pool closing you will be charged for service call in addition to the Pool Closing charge.

*The pool closings above do not include vacuuming, cleaning, or clearing up the pool and pool water, or adding additional chemicals beyond the pool closing chemicals. Please clean your pool and balance your pool water prior to your pool closing appointment.
**The pool closings above do not include blowing out underground pvc piping. If that service is required there will be an additional fee.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Please choose any of the following options:

OPTION 4 ELEMENT CLEANING $190

Your cartridge and DE filter elements should be cleaned prior to the Spring start up to ensure optimal filter efficiency during the season.

What we do

After closing the pool we will take your filter element and chemically soak and clean it. For DE filter elements, we will replace any damaged grids or manifolds. We return and reinstall the element later in the Fall. We do not offer this service to Hayward Perflex filters.

*Price applies only when ordered with an additional Pool Closing option.
**For DE filter elements, you will be charged for both the Option 4 service and any materials required to repair your filter element.

OPTION 5 ELEMENT & CHLORINE GENERATOR CELL CLEANING $235

In addition to the cartridge filter element cleaning, chlorine generator cells might also need to be de-calcified once per season to ensure proper chlorine generation.

What we do

After closing the pool we will take your filter element and chlorine generator cell and chemically soak and clean it. For DE filter elements, we will replace any damaged grids or manifolds. We return and reinstall the element and cell later in the Fall. We do not offer this service to Hayward Perflex filters.

**For DE filter elements, you will be charged for both the Option 4 service and any materials required to repair your filter element.

OPTION SPILL OVER SPA CLOSING $50

Additional labor and materials are required to winterized a Spill Over Spa.

What we do

Option Spill Over Spa Closing includes draining the spa, winterizing the spa piping and returns with antifreeze, and refilling the spa.

*This Option only applies to spas that are integrated into the the pool pumping and filtering systems.
**There will be an additional charge for the antifreeze required to winterize the spa. The amount of antifreeze required can vary.

Terms and conditions - please read carefully

  • The pool closing charge covers only the pool closing. Any additional work performed beyond the scope of the pool closing as listed in the Pool Closing Option descriptions will be billed on a time and materials basis in addition to the pool closing charge.
  • Modular Media Filter - If you did not request the Option 4 Filter Element Cleaning, we will leave your filter elements out beside your filter. You will need to clean them before the pool is opened next Spring. Do not throw them out.
  • We cannot guarantee that your pool will be clear in the Spring. There are many factors that affect water clarity which are beyond our control. Have your pool water balanced and your pool vacuumed out prior to your pool closing appointment.
  • Please leave your winter cover, water tubes, plugs, gizzmos and other closing supplies at poolside on the day of your closing appointment. Any item that is not available or functional at the time of your pool closing appointment will be replaced by McCarthy Pools and will be charged in addition to the Option price. If the above items are not available and a return visit is necessary, you will be charged for a service call in addition to the Option price.
  • Please ensure that the trippers to any time clock are pulled prior to your pool closing appointment. It is the homeowner's responsibility to disengage any and all timeclocks, automation schedules, etc...to prevent the pool pump from turning on after the pool has been closed.
  • Please ensure that water to an outside faucet is on and a hose that will reach the pool is connected.
  • All pool opening, pool closing, and service appointment cancelations require a 24 hour notice. Any cancelations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a service charge.
  • All service appointment, pool opening appointment, and pool closing appointment invoices are due upon receipt. A Finance Charge of 1.5% per month which is an APR of 18.00% is applied on all invoices not paid within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • Our minimum service charge for the first hour or any part thereof including travel time is $109.00. Each hour or any part thereof after the first hour is charged at $109.00. Service work requiring a second technician will be billed at an additional $72.00 per hour
